information. BIO A young man of the elda tribe who was raised as a spy for the royalist Resistance. As an elda, Will is a member of a tribe that is publicly persecuted by the Sanctist state religion. (Due to open discrimination and village-burnings, elda have dwindled so drastically in numbers that some people in the kingdom of Euchronia do not even believe that they exist.) Although Will was originally intended only to deliver a message on behalf of the Resistance, he soon finds himself taking up a new mission to save the kingdom's prince — his best friend since childhood — from a curse by assassinating its caster, Louis Guiabern. Soft-spoken and small, with a tendency to make himself as inconspicuous and unobtrusive as his tribe will allow him to be, Will's sweet appearance belies a surprisingly level-headed and tactical mind coupled with authoritative decisiveness. He is deeply devoted to his mission and his prince, but he also has a tendency to be a little airheaded and innocent. Will does occasionally have a biting remark or two to offer, particularly when confronted by unabashed, vicious racism, but his more acerbic quips are rare. Generally speaking, he is patient and softhearted to a fault, with an unfailingly noble and idealistic heart. SPOILERS Will is not a real person — no eldan boy was ever raised as a spy for the Resistance. He is, in fact, a construct made of pure magic power, and also the prince himself — or, more accurately, a product of the young prince's fantasies: an idealized version of the prince's soul. After the prince's body is killed, his disembodied soul reunites with its physical form and acknowledges his true self, as well as his rightful claim to the throne. In less effusive terms, "Will, the Resistance operative" is basically the prince's original character (do not steal), tulpa, and/or imaginary best friend given life. Later in his journey, he is able to save himself from his own curse and accept his true identity as the kingdom's prince and rightful king. APPEARANCE Dark blue hair, with a gold right eye and a blue left eye. Owing to his small frame, Will sometimes comes off as a bit younger than he actually is. His doll-like, strangely docile body language is marred only by a tendency to hunch his shoulders. Allegedly, Will bears a passing resemblance to the prince, so much so that one may suspect he was specifically selected to be the young man's body double. VOICE Will's voice is youthful and soft. I'll update this section with a language comparison video later on when someone makes one. His Japanese voice is my personal favorite and what I default to for vocal description. ic permissions. PLATONIC CONTACT Yes, this is fine. Although Will rarely initiates contact himself, he can get quite touchy once he's established comfort with others. SHIPPING & SMUT As far as ships go, I really only ship Will with Strohl and Louis, and am very happy to do all sorts of scenarios with them. I can also ship Will with Basilio and Alonzo, but by default, I'll keep Will's relationships with them platonic or intensely intimate without actually becoming romantic unless you specifically tell me that you'd like to ship those two with Will. For any other M/M castmate ships, just ask me first. Will is typically a dom bottom. I can absolutely have him top, but only in more developed romantic relationships; you'll likely have to clear it with him ICly and me OOCly. I do not keep a conventional kinklist, so I usually just negotiate smut threads ICly. Feel free to reach out to me to plan out specifics if needed. I'm fine with vanilla and open to hardcore kinks. PHYSICAL VIOLENCE Yes, totally fine, even to fairly serious degrees. Obviously, you'll have to check in with me before killing him, but broken bones and the like are perfectly acceptable. MINDREADING Yes, mindreading is totally fine. Just tell me if you'd like running commentary on what he'd be thinking. OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS Nothing in particular! ooc permissions. BACKTAGGING No problem. I tend to drop threads whenever I think the conversation is winding down, though — always feel free to poke me into continuing a thread again if you had something planned. THREADJACKING Always cool with me. FOURTHWALLING I really don't care. OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS None in particular. PREFERRED THREADS Just to be transparent, I usually prefer tagging castmates! I only play cross-canon with canons I already know or can get the gist of very quickly, so if you hit me up for a cross-canon thread and I'm not keen on it, I'll let you know, and I promise it's nothing personal; I'm probably just not familiar with your canon. That being said, I am open to cross-canon with Will. Since it fits his character and some plot points from the game, I'm always down to AU him into a modern-era setting! I'm particularly interested in playing him against Persona characters or characters from other Atlus settings, such as Catherine or Shin Megami Tensei, but if you play a character from some other series and are really down for Metaphor: ReFantazio cross-canon, feel free to ask and I'll let you know if I'm interested. SPOILERS A scenario I'm down to do with most characters: Will can show up at your character's school (or workplace, whatever makes sense) somewhat suddenly in the middle of one semester as a transfer student, either in high school or in college. He is generally kindhearted and airheaded to a fault, but sensible and philosophical as well. As the friendship progresses, your character may find out that he is in fact a very wealthy young man with eccentric parents who have kept him somewhat sheltered and pure of heart; he wants to do good in the world, but finds the activities of his charitable foundation frequently stymied by bureaucracy and local politics. Optionally, if you are open to having your character interact with external romances, he may or may not have some complicated romantic situations going with his best friend (Strohl) or a slightly older man he has known for years (Louis). His full name is the extremely pretentious Wilhelm More Hythlodaeus, but your character can just call him Will. Otherwise, I'd love castmates for anything else! I'm open to writing scenes throughout the game as well as in the post-game. Just ask and I'll cook up a menu of options for us to work with. As stated above, I really want Strohl or Louis for shipping; other personal favorite characters include Hulkenberg, Brigitta, Basilio, and Alonzo, but I can play against anyone. OTHER I am generally a slow RPer, as a word of warning. While I can turn tags around in a day or two sometimes, you can more often expect me to take anywhere between 1-2 weeks for a tag. Also, while it's not terribly important, I like to imagine that his real given name is "Wilhelm" (his default name in German) and "Will" is a nickname everyone uses. This headcanon changes absolutely nothing, I know, it just makes me happy.
